Labels are bookmarks that can be used to locate a particular line in the dataset that is currently in use. These are used to repeatedly verify information against another in a different place in the dataset.
The usage is as given as follows:
Go to the line where you want to set the label
Type '.A', '.B' etc, in columns 1 to 6. Pressing ENTER now sets the label.
Use LOCATE command to locate the labels later.
If you want to go to the label. Type L .labelname(eg. L .A). Where .A is a label name.
Then Press Enter. Cursor will go to the line where we set the lable.
Position the line that you want to set the label on top of the page.
On the command line, type .A or .B as desired. Pressing ENTER now sets the label.
If you want to mark a label .A in line 9, Type .A in command line and keep the cursor in line 9 and press Enter.
Use LOCATE command to locate the labels later.
